Attitudes and perception of residents towards tourism development: a case study of the district of Tarma, Peru

Resumen

Tarma, ciudad ubicada entre la región amazónica y andina, se caracteriza por su clima primaveral, sus numerosas flores y su hermoso paisaje, y su arquitectura colonial. Esta investigación examina las actitudes y opiniones de los residentes sobre el desarrollo turístico. Con base en 69 encuestados y 04 entrevistados, la mayoría son mujeres, jóvenes y personas casadas. Aunque la población local apoya firmemente el desarrollo turístico, no participa en la planificación y gestión del turismo en la región. Existe una menor participación de la población local en la planificación y gestión del desarrollo turístico. Se sugiere que, para apoyar el desarrollo turístico, la planificación futura debería tener en cuenta las aportaciones de la población local.
